I'm thankful...

I am thankful for my darling hubby! He drilled holes in some old shower/white boards I had at school. I found a cool idea on someone's blog the other day about using a magnetic white board to keep tabs on students when they leave the room. It's a good practice for fire drills and for when a student who is out of the room is called up to the office for check-out. I'm going to paint the back side of my old board which has newly drilled holes with magnetic paint, divide it with ribbon for the different columns, and tie a ribbon to hang it just under my dry erase board (visible to me from my reading table). Students will get a small, pretty, magnetic number of some sort to place in the appropriate column when they are in the library, the restroom, resource classes, etc.
