Here is my yellow rocking chair with one of my favorite young bloggers sitting in it, pretending to read a book for me...for my students to see. :)
Here is the yellow rocking chair waiting...waiting and welcoming students to come and begin the journey toward "reading to learn" and "loving to read" which I try to instill in each of my students. Someday, if I ever retire, I will rock in this chair and we will reminisce~just the two of us~about all the children who have sat to read in it and all the stories the rocker could tell if it could actually talk! ;) I will also buy 5 more rocking chairs just like this one and paint them red, blue, green, orange, and purple. They will live on my front porch, inviting all who see them to come and sit a while; to enjoy the sunshine, the sound of the birds, and a good book while visiting! Won't you come read with us?
